Join South Orange Symphony for our free Spring Concert "Enigmas of Spring", 

3 pm Sunday, April 29th at South Orange Middle School!


• To provide a quality musical venue in which local amateur and professional musicians can participate.

• To provide free concerts for the people of South Orange, Maplewood, Essex County and the surrounding area....

• To provide the musicians of New Jersey with an opportunity for solo performance with the Symphony via the Artist Competition.

• To provide scholarships for students of string instruments in order to further the interest in, and help guarantee the future of, orchestral music.

2017-2018 Season:

Our final concert of the season:  Enigmas of Spring, Sunday, April 29th at 3 pm
Join us for a free concert on Sunday, April 29th at 3 pm in the auditorium of South Orange Middle School, 70 N Ridgewood Road, South Orange.  On the program:  Samuel Barber's School for Scandal Overture, Dvorak's In Nature's Realm, Dukas Fanfare from La Peri, and Elgar's Enigma Variations.  

Our Silent Auction Fundraiser before the concert, and during intermission--bring your checkbooks!  Reception following the concert with light refreshments and opportunities to meet the musicians and the conductor.

Membership:
We rehearse weekly on Tuesdays at South Orange Middle School. Contact us to learn about orchestra openings - lots of opportunities for strings and percussion!
